On Being Stuck

I had a dear friend remind me recently that the Bible reminds us frequently not to grumble (Philippians 2:14, John 6:41) but as Christians lamenting and grieving are pathways to praise when life gets hard.

This season of waiting for the unknown has been challenging. This season of not having my children at home has been hard on my heart. But also so good and right.

For as long as I can remember, being a mom and raising a family has been my dream. God graciously granted me my dreams and it has been wonderful. As I continue to seek God and wait on His perfect timing, I will lament what is no longer but also celebrate what the Lord is doing in the lives of our children. This is a natural and beautiful progession in life and I am so thankful for it. I actually wouldn’t want it any other way.

Father help me to trust in you daily as I know you are working all things out. Your timing is always perfect and altough I many not understand what you are up to, I don’t need to. You are God and I am not. May you continue to give me opportunties to serve you. Amen
