New Seasons
New seasons…
Trying to embrace the quiet of the house once again.
I’m not sure if saying goodbye to your children ever gets easier. My 20 year old son has just left for University, and although it’s only an hour away (on a good day of traffic) he’s still gone.
As I was washing dishes last night, I was thinking about how for 18+ years of our children’s lives we know so many details about them. Their comings and goings. Their friends. Their moods. What they eat. How they spend their money. And then one day, they drive or fly away and all of those day to day details vanish from our lives.
We are left with an emptiness in our hearts.
So we pray.
Father protect him from the evils of this world. Protect his mind. His eyes. His heart. His body.
May he know your peace and experience your presence.
Give him confidence and boldness to shine your Truth to those around him.
May he seek you first above all else.
For you are the King of Kings and Lord of all.
Amen
